Air Quality Dunrite is thrilled to announce that our community work in the Toronto area has been recognized with a HomeStars Giving Back Award.
Every year, the team at HomeStars chooses companies who give more than money. The award is only for companies who also donate their time and effort to help make our communities better.
While we help out a number of great causes, it was our work with the Toronto Jets that won us the award.
“I was deeply honoured to receive this award,” said former Air Quality Dunrite owner Darrel Yashinsky. “I think the Jets are a great program in our community and I am proud to be one of the many people who help this very worthy cause.”
About the Jets
The Jets are a youth tackle football league that has helped over 500 kids learn about hard work, self-discipline, teamwork, and fair play. The goal is to be able to offer this opportunity to kids no matter their economic background, and it is run entirely by volunteers. At any given time, there are about 50 kids in the different teams, from atom to junior varsity. You can learn more about the Jets on their website, and see some great photos and videos on their Facebook page.
Air Quality Dunrite helped not only with volunteer time, but by providing rent free equipment storage and racking, as well as initial seed capital.
“The Jets are always looking for volunteers and sponsors,” says Darrel. “I encourage everyone to give what they can to help our local kids live healthier, learn valuable life lessons, and most of all just have some fun.”
